La Table du cote
La Table de la Côte is a culinary travel book celebrating the gastronomy, traditions, and culture of Tunisia’s eastern coastal regions. Written by Malek Labidi and published by Fondation BIAT, this beautifully illustrated book takes readers on a journey through areas such as Nabeul, Sousse, Monastir, and Mahdia, capturing the unique flavors, local ingredients, and culinary practices of the Mediterranean shoreline.
Rather than being just a recipe collection, the book blends stories, cultural insights, and photographs to offer an immersion into daily life, seaside food heritage, and the people behind the dishes. It highlights how the sea, land, and local communities shape a distinct coastal cuisine, from fresh seafood specialties to traditional sweets and aromatic spices.
This volume is the second part in Labidi’s series about Tunisia’s regional food cultures, following La Table du Nord and preceding La Table du Sud.
